When you become a mom, you quickly realize that going anywhere with kids, even the gas station, is suddenly much different than when you were solo.  The bigger/longer the outing, the more there is to go wrong.

I know it sounds pessimistic.  The first time your baby has a blow out when you're already running late for an appointment and you've finally made it out the door… that's when you'll know I'm right. It happens and it happens at the worst possible time more often than not.

If you're planning on traveling with your kids this summer, you've probably already thought about some of the things that will be different. You're realizing that hanging out on the beach will involve building sand castles instead of reading books and working on your tan. You're realizing that the airport carry on bag needs to be equipped with novel toys and possibly a new electronic device to occupy your kids on the plane. You've probably even chosen where to vacation based on what the kids will enjoy doing rather than focusing on night life and where you can find the cutest B&B.

You've thought about all that stuff, but you haven't really thought about all the things that could go wrong. Sure, you're packing extra outfits in case they mess something up and loading up your travel first aid kit… but did you think about what precautions to take if Junior gets the flu while you're on the cruise ship?

Murphy's Law: anything that can go wrong will. Want to find out what could possibly happen… we're talking worst case scenario on the next page.
