Things Were A Whole Lot Different When We Were Kids

When we were kids, things were a whole lot different than they are now. We ran around the neighborhood, came and went within our boundaries, and spent summer days outside. We weren't anywhere near as closely supervised as kids are today.

Everyone watched out for everyone else. I remember telling my mom I was going outside and I'd disappear to one of a number of different friends' houses. There was none of this crap where we have to be so painstakingly careful.

Back then, there weren't so many worries. Here's the thing, though. There were still dangers, but maybe we were just better-equipped to deal with them? We were definitely given more freedom at a younger age.
