Parenting In Hindsight

It's so strange to think back to those first few days and weeks of being a mama. I hadn't the faintest clue what I was doing and yet somehow I managed to get through. And of course everyone felt the need to help me by sharing their wisdom and advice.

My personal favorite?

“You can't get this time back.”

They were right, you know. It doesn't matter how difficult it was at the beginning or how exhausted you were. When you no longer have that sweet newborn, you realize how much you miss it. When your little baby is walking and talking, it dawns on you just how fast the time goes by.
