I'd love to have a giant neighborhood BBQ for The 4th of July! Doesn't that sound like fun? It sounds like a great time until I start thinking about all the food and how much it will cost. Then, I think maybe we should just get some small fireworks for the kids and make hot dogs. Yea, that sounds better.

Let's do something different this year! Let's make it exciting and fun for our kids and our families! Now, let's do all that without breaking the bank.

Is it possible? Can we really make it exciting and memorable without spending a fortune? The guy at the fireworks store would say no way. He'd insist I have to buy a gigantic package of incredible one-of-a-kind fireworks. The grocery store displays and sales ads will insist that I need a smorgasbord of foods for grilling and fancy frozen desserts as well as new red, white, and blue paper plates.

But do I really? I think not. Besides, who's going to remember my paper plates and matching napkins? No one will care about those things. As for the fireworks, the kids will get scared and go inside and my husband will set something on fire that shouldn't be before the night is over. So, that giant package of incredible fireworks isn't worth the price tag.

Find out how to have a super celebration for Independence Day that won't break the bank on the next page.
