It's not like we need a list to tell us we're moms. I'm well aware after listening to my toddler repeat “Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!” all morning long just because he likes the sound of it.

Being a mom has become such a part of my identity that I can't really remember what my life was like before. It seems so long ago and unimportant now.

Becoming a mom changes you. That sounds scary before you have kids. It's a good thing though. Being a mom changes you for the better. It makes you strive to be the best version of yourself.

There's so much change going on that sometimes it can be hard to recognize yourself. Sometimes I look in the mirror and wonder who I'm looking at. Do I really look that way? When did I get that wrinkle? Why do I look so tired?
