Ah, summer.  The time of cook-outs, days filled with sunshine and don't forget, annual state fair season.  It's not difficult to find a fair that caters to you and your particular taste buds, because, let's face it, cities and counties find any excuse to celebrate. Strawberry Festivals, Bratwurst Festivals, Sauerkraut Festivals.

Those last two need to team up.  Add to that list, the multitude of county fairs dotted all across the summer calendar.  Fairs are a gluttonous feast for the foody adventurist. Or should that be Food Survivalist?

Pork Parfaits – pulled pork, mashed potatoes and BBQ sauce in an ice cream sundae glass.  Alligator-On-A-Stick – deep-fried, teriyaki basted crock on a stick.  Or, Spam Curds – Cheese-flavored Spam, deep-fried and smothered in ranch dressing.

All sound…um, delightful.  Provide it and they will come. Boy, ever do they!  One of the perks of going to the Fair is the opportunity to people watch your state or county's finest.
