Is Breastfeeding Offensive?

Breastfeeding is one method of feeding babies. I happen to think it's a pretty good one. For reasons I still can't comprehend, many find breastfeeding offensive.  I just don't get it, what's so offensive about feeding a baby?

Thankfully, I'm also rather certain that most people aren't bothered by it at all. In more than two years of nursing my children, I have endured a few ignorant comments about nursing and been on the receiving end of a few offended glares. However, the majority of responses I have witnessed have been positive.

Who knows, maybe I'm just lucky. Either way, breastfeeding is NOT offensive.
