What Type Of Mom Are You?

Story Of This Life has put together a super cute video you must see!  It's all about the mom stereotypes. In reality, we all fall somewhere in between the two extremes pictured in this video, but it's still hilarious!

I'll admit that I seriously considered getting my kid a helmet to wear every day just like the mom in the video. Like her, I carried around Lysol spray and Wet Wipes for the first year. I was totally panicked about my kid catching something.  Despite all my efforts, he caught Hand Foot and Mouth Disease and a variety of viral bugs in the first two years.

These days, I'd probably pick up the phone to snap a picture of him head first stuck behind the couch like the second mom in the video…. then I'd help him up and worry all day that he might have a concussion. See what I mean about being in between?

I don't think I could ever go so far as to let my kid get covered in black beans at a restaurant like one of the moms in the video, but that's mostly because I wouldn't want to be wearing the black beans at some point during the meal. I'm sort of a neat freak.

I also don't think I could just pick up a pacifier off the floor of the mall and give it back. Gross! On the other hand, I don't really bother with wiping every single thing down anymore.

I also don't spend a lot of time worrying about the germs on the playground equipment like one of the moms in the video. The pediatrician has assured me that good old fashioned sunshine kills most viral germs on the slide. Besides, my kids are probably going to pop an acorn or something else gross into their mouths while we're there anyway.
