How many lies did you tell yourself before you became a parent? How many times did you say “I'll never..?” Did you learn the hard way?

I remember telling my best friends so many crazy things before I became a mom. Crazy as in the first few weeks will be easy. You know, because I'm an insomniac to begin with. Oh, and my personal favorite – my house will always be immaculate. Right, because my 15-month old has suddenly learned not only how to open the drawers, but also how to pull every last article of clothing out of them.
