Take Your Decal And Stick It……….

I am not a fan of the bumper sticker, car decal, whatever title you want to give it.  I don't want to know that your kid is an honor student, I don't care that you have 3.5 kids and a dog.  I could go all day without finding out that you ran a full marathon; in fact, it only makes me want to tap the bumper of your car.  Forcefully.

Why people feel the need to over-share their accomplishments or their child's accomplishments (or even their dog's accomplishments), I lay the blame for that at Mark Zuckerberg's feet.  I realize that bumper stickers have been around before the creator of Facebook was even conceived, but nonetheless, I have to blame someone.

Long before Facebook has taught us the fine art of the over-share, the bumper sticker became a way for over-achievers to announce to the world that they….well, over-achieved at something.  The worst invention ever?  The “Stick Figure” decals.
