Parenthood Is Full Of Irony

Fun fact. My son apparently hits when he gets excited, so every day when I'm finished cleaning in our Preschool classroom and I go grab him from the toddler room, I get a big hug and then smacked. He starts flailing his arms around then.. Yep, you guessed it! Fun times. Note: I said fun, not funny.

Thankfully, as with every other interesting stage our little ones go through, this too shall pass. Someday soon, he'll learn not to swing his arms around when he's happy to see me and we'll all be a lot happier.

One mom wrote an awesome article about hearing “I love you” and then getting smacked in the face and I couldn't help but laugh out loud. Granted, it's nowhere near the same concept, but it's definitely still worth reading. Check it out on the next page.
