6 Things I Wish I Had Known In My 20’s

As my daughter prepares to graduate high school, I am constantly amazed at how mature and street-smart she has become.  Her high school years were vastly different from my own, mainly because I embodied the word “geek” in all its glory, while she is pretty and social.  I excelled at school; her grades aren’t as high as I’d like them to be.  I didn’t receive my first real kiss until I was 18; she’s been there, done that.

There is so much more she needs to know before she heads off to college though.  I taught her the practical survival skills – never accept a drink from anyone except a bartender/server; if you go out with your girlfriends, please dear God, go home with your girlfriends (not the hottie you just met).
