What You Really Think When You Go To Target

It's only a dollar.  Just like the woman in the video, that's my first thought over at the Dollar section too.

They know what they are doing by sticking that at the front of the store. I can't walk past it without checking. It doesn't matter what i came to Target for, there's probably something over there I can really use.

It's on sale and it's cute. Oh, and it's designer. Thanks to all the awesome collaborations with designers, it's really hard to walk past the clothing section in Target without seeing something super cute I need for my wardrobe. You can never have too many soft tees and cardigans!

It won't be here next time. That's what I say to convince myself that I shouldn't wait for it to go on clearance. You know you've been thinking the same thing. I can't logically explain why I'm so afraid of missing a good deal, but the struggle is real.

Totally forgot what I originally came in for. I realize it about the time I'm loading all my items onto the conveyor belt at checkout. I spend the whole time I'm waiting in line trying to remember only to realize after I've already paid my bill. Oh well….

Now I have an excuse to come back tomorrow! Sometimes my husband accuses me of forgetting on purpose. If that's the case, I promise, it's totally subconscious. I blame the mommy brain. It's sort of impossible for me to go to any store without forgetting at least one thing these days.

Locally, there's another piece to the genius plot. I spend most of my time in Target thinking about the latte I need from Starbucks on my way out. Our local Target has a Starbucks attached to the front of the store and I'm finding it impossible to get out of there without getting a chai tea or iced coffee. Besides, last time the barista gave me a discount card and I need to earn my free iced coffee right? It's essential.

Come to think of it, I need more laundry soap. Time to go to Target.
