Mommy Fears: Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid!

Are there things about parenting that you're afraid of? I mean really, truly afraid of? I could probably think of at least a few. I know in the early days, I was afraid of everything. Lately, though, it seems to be the same few things that leave me terrified.

I'm not sure why, but every day I wonder whether or not today's going to be the day that I get “the call” – you know the one I mean… It's the one telling me that my son's sick and I need to pick him up like now. Talk about a series of unfortunate events that usually results in me both bringing work home and pulling an all-nighter. Let's face it, sick kids are something we're all afraid of.
