Lessons I Learned From Living Alone

Instead of choosing to cohabitate in my 20’s, I chose to live alone. I chose to come home every day to an empty apartment – as least as far as living things went. For almost a year, there were no roommates and no boyfriends. There wasn’t even so much as a  plant. I learned the hard way that plants and I don’t get along. Regardless, spending a year on my own was invaluable to me. It taught me so many lessons that have made me the woman I am today. It was an experience that I wouldn’t trade for the world.
