Story of This Life has put together this cute video to illustrate what it's really like to celebrate the season of joy with your bundle of joy.

Here's what you should expect:

The Christmas tree is now another source of aggravation instead of being a source of holiday cheer.

First, your little angel will take all the candy canes off and try to eat them through the wrapper.   Next, she will decide that hiding under the tree is great fun and you'll constantly be chasing her around it or army crawling on the floor to pull her out.  Then, she will find the sparkly fragile ornaments and being redecorating the tree and “tasting” the ornaments. You'll solve this by moving everything out of reach on the tree, which means the bottom half of your tree will not be decorated at all. Necessary measures my friends. You can have a normal tree in about 5 years.  Oh! Next come the tiny pine needles that will be everywhere! Baby will be trying to eat those and rolling in them too.

Holiday photos just got a lot more challenging too. Remember when the hardest thing you had to do was find coordinating sweaters?

Now you won't be able to get the baby to smile or be still or even look in the general direction of the camera. Also, you'll be lucky if you don't end up like the parents in the video: looking away or looking exhausted.  Don't worry, nobody is looking at you anyway. They all just want to see the baby.

Photos with Santa? Don't do it. You'll thank me. Just check out the baby in the video. Pictures with Santa are all about standing in a long line and then handing your baby to a strange man in a suit while they scream and you try to get a relatively normal looking photo.

Story of This Life is sure to include all the other joys of the holidays you'll encounter too: poinsettias are poison, holiday baking is now just mess making, that star on top of the nativity never saw it coming, and Christmas Eve is no different than any other night – you're not getting any sleep.

The best part of the video is the scene where their little angel eats the cookies for Santa and pours the milk all over herself. Classic!

The end of the video is a must see! Be sure to check it out and laugh along. Then, share your favorite holiday disasters from baby's first Christmas! I can't wait to hear all the stories and prepare accordingly for our holiday.
