A Woman’s Work Is Never Done

How many of the ten million things that are on my to-do list are actually going to get done today? Not enough of them, I can tell you that much.

I’m starting to notice a shocking trend in life now that I have both a full-time job and a little one – a woman’s work is never done. No sooner do I catch my breath that things start piling up again and I’m back to barely treading water.

You see, before I had a baby, the to-do list was really more a matter of formality. There was absolutely nothing on that list that was critical – aside from show up for work every day, at least. Everything else in life, though, was negotiable.

And then times changed. I’m sure you can relate. Back then, tomorrow was just as fine a time as any to do whatever it was that needed to be done. Don’t feel like doing laundry this weekend? Not a problem. It’ll still be there tomorrow. Not in the mood to make dinner. No worries. What’s not to love about the toaster oven?
