What New Moms Really Want To Know
I got entirely too much advice when I was pregnant – far more than I actually wanted or needed. There were quite a few things that no one warned me about, though. Those were the things that I really wanted to know. I wanted to know how much I would love this little baby and how instantaneous that love would be.
I wanted to know that all of the things that people tried to scare me with – that I wouldn't have any time for myself, that I'd never sleep again, or that I couldn't possibly do it all – wouldn't even matter to me anymore. My love for my son and desire to spend time with him would end up being more important to me than all of the above.
As one mom tells it, I'm not the only one who ended up getting a lot useless advice that didn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. You can see what she feels someone should've actually warned her about on the next page.
