1. Personalized necklace with her kid’s names stamped or engraved – I usually start with Etsy if I’m looking for something like this. There are so many sellers that make gorgeous custom jewelry. I especially love anything that’s metal-stamped right now. It’s the perfect mix of industrial and chic, but it’s also an excellent way to show off those that are the most important to her.

2. Digital photo frame pre-filled with all of her favorite photos of her kids and grandkids. I was seriously considering doing something like this for both of the grandmas for Christmas. I didn’t end up actually doing it last year, but it’s definitely still high on my list for this year.

3. Photo book. I created a photo book that was full of pictures of the little guy from birth through six months. My mom mentioned how much she loved it, so this could potentially be another great gift idea.

4. Subscription to Amazon Prime. This is one of those things that I’d love to have and would make a great gift. You’ll get free two day shipping on eligible items, free unlimited photo storage, and access to 500,000 free eBooks. Obviously, read the fine print, but this would be an excellent gift for someone who’s constantly shopping online.

5. Professional massage. The one time that I did splurge and get myself a massage was nothing less than heavenly. Just make sure that someone to watch the little ones for an hour or two is part of this gift. Otherwise, it’ll probably never end up actually getting used.

6. Kindle. I love being able to read on the go. I’m crazy about the idea of eBooks being less expensive than the paperback versions. I have dozens of eBooks on my tablet and I’m constantly pulling it out when I need something to do for a few minutes.

7. Something handmade from the kids. The possibilities here are endless. The first things that come to mind would be a handmade card or a shadow box or handprints. Really, anything that’s from the heart is sure to be a winner.

8. Manicure/pedicure. Mother’s Day comes along once a year in the spring, which makes it a great time to get a manicure or pedicure. What’s not to love about pretty pink toes right at the beginning of sandal season?
