You’re Not A Bad Mom For Sending Your Kid To Daycare All The Time

Daycare gets a bad rap.  Sure there are the horror stories, but are daycare centers as a whole an  inherent bad thing?  I say no – my now-18-year-old daughter started daycare when she was 3 months old and we never looked back. She turned out relatively unscathed.

In fact, she is one of the most social kids I know. Is it due to her incredible genetics inherited from me?  Possibly some of it, but the rest I lay at the feet of the daycare gods.  She had some of the best caregivers I could have possibly hoped for and I do not….repeat DO NOT regret ever handing her to their more-than-competent hands.

She was entertained far better than I could have pulled off.  Being a working single mother, there is no way I could have shown her a third of the sights provided in the summer months.  The field trips were amazing.  Heck, if anything, I was jealous that I didn't get to go with the group!

This mom has a lot more to say on the subject. You can read the rest of her story on the next page.
