Things My Mom Said That I Won’t Say

Let me start out by saying that my mom was not a bad mom. She was a single teen mom. She made mistakes. She got some things very right. She loved us all very much and still does. I could write about all the things she said to us that will follow me around for life, the things that have made me a better person, things wise way beyond her years…

This article isn’t about those things. This is about the things that she said that I know I’ll never say to my kids. This is about the things she said that hurt without even knowing. These are the things that probably got said to her because she wasn’t the one to say them. I can remember hearing them from my grandmother and my aunts at times too, but I’ll never say them.
