Dear Working Mom,

I know you cried on your way back to work that first morning. It was so hard to leave your sweet baby. It was so hard to trust him to someone else.

I know maternity leave was way too short. I know you wish six weeks paid leave had been six months, or maybe six years. I know a part of you was excited to go back to work and that’s okay.

I know there are days when you wish you could stay at home. The days when your little one doesn’t want you to leave. The days when you feel like you’re missing out.

I know there are days when you’re glad you are working. There are days where you can’t wait to get some fresh air.

I know you made the best choice for your family.

I know you worry that you aren’t getting enough time with your kids. You worry that you are missing all the really important stuff. On the darkest days, you sometimes worry that they might resent you for it.

I know you love your babies as much as I do.

I know you sometimes feel like nobody notices how hard you work. I want you to know that I notice you too.

Don’t worry Mom. You’re doing a great job too.

Look at those amazing babies. They are thriving! Keep up the good work! You’re amazing too!

Sincerely,

A Stay at Home Mom
