Why Lie About Being A SAHM?

One of my good friends describes her job as “domestic management.” I've seen other creative job titles for stay at home moms too.  I've even considered a few creative descriptions for my social media pages.

I cringe when I have to check “unemployed” at the doctor's office too. I can feel the unspoken judgment. I'm probably imagining most of it, but the truth is society has made being a stay at home mom an unacceptable job description.

Why should we lie about being “just” moms? Isn't that enough?
