  • I’ll miss when we are the only ones laughing so hard we can’t explain what’s so funny.
  • I’ll miss talking to you about everything, and by “everything” I mean no topic is off limits for us.
  • I’ll miss your blunt words when I’m being the sensitive one.
  • I’ll miss hearing you laugh out loud in your room while on your computer.
  • I’ll miss doing your laundry every week (that one is a surprise).
  • I’ll miss the mess in your room, the horror of your bathroom and the dishes you leave in the sink.
  • I’ll miss you insisting that pants are the work of the devil and removing them once you’re home from school.
  • I’ll miss knowing what goes on in your life day-to-day.
  • I’ll miss your closed door when you’re sleeping in.
  • I’ll miss talking to you every, single day.
  • I’ll miss you asking my advice on things that most teenagers wouldn’t.
  • I’ll miss your friends stopping by the house.
  • I’ll miss your obnoxious pop music.
  • I’ll miss listening to you sing along to songs about dating a stripper, smoking weed or backing that ass up.
  • I’ll miss your fiery independence, your street smarts and your no-nonsense attitude.
  • I’ll miss you, your quirky behavior and the sound of your voice.

I know it’s time for you to move on and can only hope I have given you the skills you need. I love you so much.
