Why I Hate Graduation Day

High School Graduation Day fast approaches. It will soon be the last day of my daughter’s public school education and 3 days after that is graduation. I’m not going to quote trite sayings like “They’re only with you for a short time” or “Time flies when you’re raising kids”. I know all of that, because believe me it literally feels like yesterday she was born.

Now, she’s almost 18, has had her driver’s license for a while and a couple of boyfriends under her belt (wow…that didn’t come out right). For the last month, I’ve been in a funk, weepy and sad. Whatever you want to call it, it is not a good look for anyone.

I will miss so much about her when she starts college in the Fall. But what I will miss most of all, is on the Next Page:
