What Are Your Children Learning By Example?
Do you remember all the times your parents said “Do as I say, not as I do?” Talk about a popular parenting line, right? It really wasn't all that long ago that I mentioned to my husband how much our son picks up just from watching us. Neither one of us has to say a word.
I watched him walk over to the couch one night, pick up my keys and take them over to the door. He couldn't quite get them in the lock, but my point is he knew exactly what they were and what to do with them just from watching us. The same goes for the not-so-great things we do too.
Babble published an article about what children learn from what we do, not what we say. This was definitely an eye-opener because it's so true. Our little ones are always watching. Check it out on the next page.
