This Is What Happened When One Ex-Couple Threw Away Their Custody Agreement

These days, it's becoming more and more common for dads to have joint custody and kids are getting shuffled around a lot more. Having a closer relationship with both parents is awesome, but the whole idea of custody agreements can be confusing.

While it's amazing to be able to spend equal time with both parents, it can also be difficult to adhere to all of the rules and regulations set forth. Don't you sometimes just wish you could do things your way? I saw a graphic show up in my Facebook feed the other day. It was about making my marriage work so my kids don't have to wonder which parent they see first on holidays. It was certainly cute.

Let's face it, though. As nice as that is in theory, sometimes marriages don't work out and the best thing we can do at that point is take a step back and do what's right for our kids.
