Quick & Easy Entertaining: Salt Dough for the kids
Set them up with some salt dough and relax, or join in on the fun! Here’s the recipe:
4 cups flour, plus a little more for rolling out the dough
1 cup salt
1 1/2-2 cups water
Just mix it up! Once it is together a bit, it can be fun to let the kids mix it together with their hands. The best part about this dough is how satisfyingly squishy it feels!
The dough should be smooth and well-combined, so feel free to add water if needed.
You can roll out the dough and make shapes with a cookie cutter, and add a hole for hanging. Another cool idea is to make beads, and then string them up for homemade jewelry.
Once the kids have completed creations, bake at 350 for about an hour or until firm. The fun can continue with painting and decoration!
