6 Fun (and messy!) Summertime Projects To Do With Your Kids
Tag Room has put together a helpful list of activities for those of us who are craft-challenged. I might not be able to turn my living room into a life size diorama of a Medieval castle, put together snacks that look like something from an art museum, or paint Andy Warhol style photos of my kids on canvas… but I can keep them occupied and happy without breaking the bank this summer.
Many of these ideas are messy but, if you, like me, are searching for fun ideas and activities you should definitely try some of these:
1. Slime With Polka Dots
2. Toothpaste… for Elephants
3. Rainbow Colored Soap Foam
4. Edible Glowing Bath Water
5. Colorful Beans
6. Salt Sculptures You Can Paint
So dying beans and making salt sculptures do sound a little more difficult than some of the others on the list, but they were surprisingly easy. Just follow the directions from Tag Room and you'll be okay.
I'll also admit that I was a little bit paranoid about anything that contained the words “edible” and “glowing” in the title together. Am I the only one that thinks edible things shouldn't glow? It was a little scary for me, but my son loved it! Also, he didn't really drink the bath water, but I did feel safe about letting him splash around in it because it's “edible.”

Sorry Moms, having your kids try to find you while you hide in the closet eating a chocolate bar doesn't count. It also doesn't work for very long. I know, I tried.
