6 Reasons Moms Feel Like They’re At Disneyland While Shopping At Costco

If you think about it, going on a trip to Costco is a little bit like going to Disneyland. From going around and around the parking lot to find that one space as close to the entrance as possible, to waiting with other eager Costco shoppers for the front doors to open.
Everyone runs to the back to be the first in line for the piping hot sausage and ravioli samples. Most importantly, we want to get the kids snackin' so they're happy campers while we shop đ
Here's more reasons why Shopping at Costco is like going to Disneyland!
1. You go to Costco on the weekend, for non-essential purchases. I mean, itâs one thing if you have half a roll of toilet paper left in your house. Itâs something completely different if you go there on a Saturday âjust to take a look around.â Even Satan himself avoids Costco on the weekends, and heâs the one who designed their parking lots.
2. Youâve served your family entire meals consisting of all âCostco impulse buys.â For instance, last weekend I made three dozen mini-quiches for breakfast. Hey, it says right on the box theyâre made from âfresh eggs and milk.â #momwin
3. You seek out the loud, funny cashier so your kids donât melt down during checkout. You know the one? He usually has a lyrical accent and brings the funny. If Jimmy Fallon was from Trinidad and worked at Costco, heâd be this guy.
4. Your kids have been begging for a trip to Disneyland forever. Whatâs wrong with them? Donât they know Kirkland is so much better?
5. Your Achilles tendons have nearly been severed by an angular woman clad head-to-toe in Lululemon because she was too busy talking on the phone about kale/quinoa smoothies and OMG Gwyneth is speaking at BlogHer! to watch where she was going. Your screams of agony went unnoticed.
6. At some point in your Costco shopping life, youâve temporarily misplaced one of your children. Luckily, within seconds you found him or her, sitting in the cart of a very large and eerily calm family, eating a churro and singing songs from The Sound of Music a cappella.
