4 Creative Baby Announcements

1. Chalk It Up

Aren’t those little chalkboards adorable? They’re perfect for sharing your news through a cute message. Something like “Our family is growing by 2 feet and 1 heart” or “Pink or blue? Either will do! Mommy’s expecting #2!”

I’m sure you can come up with something creative that would be perfect for your family whether it’s your first baby or fifth! Can’t find a chalkboard? Get outdoors with the sidewalk chalk and draw on the road for a really cute photo op.

2. Tiny Shoes

I especially love this style of announcement if you already know what you’re having. Little boots to match Daddy or little dress shoes that match Mommy are a super cute way to let the world know you’re expecting a mini me.

3. Sibling Spills the Beans

There are tons of ways to do this. I love the cute t-shirts that say things like “I’m going to be a big brother!” or “Only Child Expiring in August.”

Another way to do it is to have your child wear one version of a shirt and hold a matching or corresponding version for the baby. Wouldn’t it be cute to dress your little boy in a Dr. Seuss “Thing 1” shirt and let him hold up a tiny shirt for “Thing 2”? I think that would be absolutely adorable!

4. Silly Song Parodies

Here’s a new one for the creative people who can carry a tune. Some couples are videoing themselves singing pop songs with altered lyrics and corresponding dance moves. Imagine having your husband try to sing Bieber’s “Baby” while pointing to your stomach in exaggeration. Hilarious!
