19 Ways To Become The Fun Mom!

Kids Activities Blog knows it's not always easy to be the fun mom, sometimes it's just not possible.

When the only thing standing in the way of being fun mom is your creativity, don't worry.  The moms at Kids Activities Blog have you covered. They've teamed up with KC Edventures to make us a list:

1. Do pranks together – your kids will love bringing some surprise to another person’s day.
2. Make your kids laugh with a tickle fight, or one of the other 10 ideas on that page.
3. Have a silly face contest – see who can have the wackiest face.
4. Have a smoochy-kiss chase! Chase each other around the house and when you catch the other person give them a big smoochy kiss!
5. Take your kids out on a date and celebrate “family day”.
6. Have a playground scavenger hunt. Make a list of things to find and do and travel around to new playgrounds to find them.
7. Make super spy pipe-cleaner disguises together and talk to each other in your “spy voices”.
8. Play “edible pillow”. Your child is your “pillow” – they also happen to talk and laugh!
9. Have a bubble “war” – make bubble shooters and blast each other with bubbles.
10. Give your kids a big canvas to paint on.
11. Have a family slumber party. Everyone (even mom and dad) should bring their sleeping bags and camp out on the living room floor.
12. Give your kids a piggy back ride.
13. Have a paper airplane battle. Fold paper airplanes and try to throw them at each other.
14. Get washable markers and draw tattoos on each other.
15. Have a song that is just for you and your child… be silly and dance to it
16. Go on a picnic together – even if it is for breakfast!
17. Fly a kite – even better if you take the time to build your kite together first!
18. Color a picture together! Try to use silly colors that your child would not expect.
19. Blow pom poms across the room with straws.

Aren't these the best ideas ever?! I'm pretty excited about drawing tattoos on each other with washable markers and the selfies from our silly face contest are going to be epic! I don't have any pom poms to blow across the room with straws, but I'm already thinking about making marshmallow shooters instead. Afterwards, we can have hot cocoa with the rest of the marshmallows. Perfect!
