Free Range kids?

If you are paying any attention to the news, the “free range” parents, Danielle and Alexander Meitiv, have taken over the airwaves. In case you haven’t, these “progressive thinkers” (and I use that term loosely) allow their children to basically raise themselves. Or, as they claim, all children are entitled to unsupervised time and parents should be allowed to extend their kids unsupervised time without being arrested.  Mind. Blown.

I understand that you would like your children to be independent.  Let’s face it, no one likes a clingy child, especially when they’re older.  But what kind of decisions should we, as parents, let them make?
