I really don't like being the food allergy police. I cringe when I have to ask about the menu for an upcoming event or if there will be food… I see the looks on the other moms' faces. I hear the sighs. I know it can be annoying and confusing, but the alternative is much much worse.

That's why I'm the one sending you a message to find out if you're bringing snacks to the playground and asking a million questions about the menu for your child's upcoming baptism celebration. I need to know. I need to be prepared.

Thankfully, most of the moms I know are really great about sharing information and asking questions. Many of my friends even go out of their way to ensure that there are options and safe foods for my child. They don't have to, but it makes me feel wonderful that they take the extra steps to do that for us, for my son.
